SPREAD AWARENESS
Spread awareness about the topic to inform families and individuals about animal abuse in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the horrors behind the scenes. Starting or joining a local protest in the community can help inform others about the severity of animal abuse. Signing petitions or writing letter to politicians can also help spread awareness to lawmakers and well-respected individuals.
ATTEND ANIMAL-FREE CIRCUSES
Animal-free circuses still provide all of the excitement of a "normal" circus without the abuse to animals. Instead of animals being forced to produce stunts and tricks through fear and pain, humans put on a thrilling show! Not only are these shows animal-friendly, but many animal-free circuses perform at fundraisers for charity. When you buy a ticket to an animal-free circus, you are sending a message that cruel animal acts do not sell. There are over 20 animal-free circuses that tour all across the world. VIEW ANIMALS FROM THE WILD VERSUS CAPTIVITY
Viewing animals from the wild can help to prevent abuse within the industry. Captivity reduces the amount of socialization, exercise, lifespan, and freedom of abuse to wild animals. Many basic needs cannot be met in captivity; therefore, the best way to prevent abuse is to view animals from their natural habitat.
